BALTIMORE — The (unofficial) Utah Ravens are coming together.

Former BYU defensive end Bronson Kaufusi has signed with the Baltimore Ravens, the final piece of the NFL team's rookie class, the organization announced Tuesday.

The Ravens have now signed every member of their 2016 rookie class by the first day of mini-camp, which opened Tuesday. But Kaufusi won't be immediately joining his new teammates on the field; he injured his back in his first NFL practice of rookie minicamp, and will be out until Baltimore opens training camp, according to head coach John Harbaugh.

"He wrenched his back, for lack of a better term," Harbaugh said in an earlier report. "He will definitely be back for training camp. He will be training hard here between now and then."

Kaufusi was the highest-selected local draft pick when the Ravens selected him in the third round during last April's NFL Draft. The Timpview High alumnus was the No. 70 overall selection when he joined former BYU teammates Dennis Pitta and De'Ondre Wesley in Baltimore.

In addition to the BYU trio, the Ravens also have former Utah safety Eric Weddle, wide receiver Steve Smith, WR/returner Kaelin Clay and former Utah State cornerback Will Davis on the current roster.

The 6-foot-6 Kaufusi missed just two games during his four-year career at BYU, including all 13 games of his senior campaign when he compiled 64 tackles, 20 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, one interception and three forced fumbles. He also led the nation with four blocked kicks and finished his BYU career with 44 tackles for loss and 26.5 sacks.
