SALT LAKE CITY — Kyle Collinsworth’s NBA predraft workout tour has taken him all over the country.

And now he’s coming home.

Collinsworth will be 1 of 6 players scheduled to work out for the Utah Jazz during Friday’s predraft session at Zion’s Bank Basketball Center Friday. The Provo High graduate grew up a Jazz fan, and is coming off a recent trip as far as Toronto, where he worked out with the Raptors.

Now the 6-foot-6, 211-pound former BYU point guard who became BYU’s all-time leader in career rebounds, assists and 11th all-time in scoring will return to the place where he led Provo High to two Class 4A state championships.

The two-time Associated Press honorable mention All-American and 2016 West Coast Conference player of the year set an NCAA record with 12 career triple-doubles, while averaging 12.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in four years in Provo.

After a four-year career of versatility that saw him stick at point guard as a senior in 2015-16, Collinsworth was listed as a “wing” by the Jazz roster, which may indicate a possible NBA position for the pass-first, high-rebounding big guard.

Collinsworth won’t be the only local player attending Friday’s Jazz workout though. Former Utah wing Dakari Tucker will also go through drills with the BYU graduate.

Tucker played four years with the Runnin’ Utes, averaging 5.4 points and 2.4 rebounds in 18.6 minutes per game off the bench as a senior in 2015-16.

Former Oregon State star Gary Payton II will return to Salt Lake City for Friday’s workouts as well. Payton averaged 14.1 points, 7.98 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals per game as a sophomore at Salt Lake Community College, when he earned NJCAA Region 18 Co-Player of the Year and helped the Bruins to a Scenic West Athletic Conference title and NJCAA Tournament berth.

Payton’s two-year tenure with the Beavers saw him average 14.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 4.1 assists and 2.8 steals per game en route to Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year honors twice.

The other workout invitees are USC's Julian Jacobs, Michigan State's Denzel Valentine and French big man Alpha Kaba.
