UINTAH COUNTY — Four men are being held in the Uintah County Jail for allegedly raping a 9-year-old girl.
The girl was sleeping on the couch of a Uintah County home March 27 when her mother went to the garage to smoke methamphetamine, according to the sheriff's office. During that time, four men took the child into another room of the house and raped her, investigators said.
Uintah County sheriff's deputies received a report of the alleged rape on March 29. Investigators conducted interviews which led to a search warrant being executed at the house.
One man, 36-year-old Larson Rondeau, was detained at that time and arrested later in the day.
Investigators arrested Josiah Rondeau, 20; Jerry Flatlip, 29; and Randall Flatlip, 26, on March 29 and April 1, according to the sheriff's office.
All four men were booked into jail on suspicion of rape of a child and sodomy on a child, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities took the girl into state care.
The investigation is ongoing.
