SALT LAKE CITY — Matt Lindsey scored 19 of his game-high 31 points in the first half as Olympus' boys basketball team advanced to the Class 4A state championship with a 70-42 win over Woods Cross in Friday's semifinals at the University of Utah's Huntsman Center.
Lindsey also had six rebounds two steals for the Titans, who jumped out to a 37-28 lead at halftime and outscored the Rams 17-7 in the third quarter.
Isaac Monson added 19 points, 12 rebounds and five assists for Olympus, and teammate Travis Wagstaff added 11 points and five rebounds.
Trevin Knell led the Wildcats with 16 points and two seals, and Jordan Lewis added 11 points and four rebounds for Woods Cross.
Olympus will try to win its first 4A state title against Timpview in Saturday's state championship. Tipoff is scheduled for 12 noon MT on live.ksl.com.
