SALT LAKE CITY — It's not easy being on TV.
"Yeah," agreed Lynisha as she stood shyly in the corner of a local art studio as she surveyed the TV camera a few feet away.
"My caseworker told me about this, and I was like, 'Oh, I'm so worried'," Lynisha said.
However, when you like painting as much as Lynisha you don't let a camera, reporter and a little nerves get in the way.
"I think I'm going to paint a cloud or a flower," she said. Lynisha is quite the little artist. "I like to think about arts and crafts," she said with a smile.
Maybe because it's easier than thinking about what she's been through.
"I have a foster family," she said.
For the past six years she's had to explain herself and her situation. She's realizing it makes her different than the other kids at her school. "They say sometimes that I'm dumb."
When you're 10-years old, you don't want to be different. "Yeah, it's not fun," she agreed.
Lynisha wants what every child deserves. "I want to have a family I can live with forever and ever and ever."
Just like her latest art project, Lynisha knows her life is a work in progress.
"I feel really happy now that I got over my worries," she said with a giggle.
Yeah, it's tough being on TV, but when the goal is finding a family, it's worth it.
"It would mean happiness to me."
