SALT LAKE CITY — The Runnin' Utes beat then-seventh-ranked Duke in overtime on Saturday, moving them back into the Associated Press Top 25 at No. 24.
But that's not the end of it, thanks to head coach Larry Krystkowiak's wife.
During the game, Jan Krystkowiak spotted Fallon in the expensive seats, no doubt thanks to his rendition of the Ugly Christmas Sweater that was apparently inspired by the cartoon series "David the Gnome" at Madison Square Garden. She gave the "Tonight Show" host and "Saturday Night Live" a Utah hat to pair with his outfit, which he declined.

Apparently, Fallon is a Duke fan. Still, Jan Krystkowiak persisted and convinced him to wear the hat on the show — if the Utes won.
After Utah's 77-75 win, fans tuned in to see if he would oblige. They also offered up some pretty convincing arguments on social media.
