SALT LAKE CITY — Welcome to From Left Field! Here are some of the most fun things to show you in the world of sports.

Fan spills beer on player, then denies it

Celtics draftee Marcus Thornton is playing basketball in Australia's National Basketball League, and as he was going for a loose ball, a fan spilled some beer on Thornton's head.

Thornton, understandably, was upset, and so turned around, only to see the fan nonchalantly drinking the beer as if nothing had ever happened!

Watch the video above.

Sir: You are not sneaky. You are the only person in the vicinity holding a beer, and there are cameras everywhere. This deception didn't work, as you'll see.

Man celebrates free haircuts by taunting Lakers bench

Like every basketball team, the 16-0 Golden State Warriors have contests during timeouts where fans can come out onto the court and make shots to win prizes. This man here took a 3-point shot to try to win free haircuts for those in attendance. So far, so good.

But after making the shot, he celebrated like he had just won, a million dollars, then pointed at the Lakers players coming back onto the court, and gave them a throat slash gesture. Whoa!

The Lakers were indeed dead, as they lost to the Warriors by 34.

The hidden-puck trick?

This is clever. Washington Capitals defenseman Dmitry Orlov made a good move to get past the initial Colorado Avalanche defense, but it seemed his shot was saved in the end by Avs goalie Calvin Pickard.

But wait... what if Orlov never even shot the puck at all? Orlov actually did still have it, fooling the entire defense by circling around the net to easily score.

Everyone's moment of realization that he still has the puck is phenomenal.
