Missing BYU student found

PROVO — Police have found a BYU student who had been missing since Sunday.

Provo police say someone called in a sighting of 22-year-old Yifeng Xu around 11:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers located him on the east side of Brick Oven, 111 E. 800 North.

Xu was wearing several layers of clothing and appeared to be malnourished, according to police.

He was taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where he will undergo a mental health evaluation.

Xu had last been seen on BYU campus on Sunday, Nov. 8 and did not return to class or to his apartment.
