HURRICANE — A woman was arrested after allegedly kicking in the door to a home and robbing the man inside Sunday.
The man called police at about 9 p.m. to report the robbery, which took place near 400 N. 2680 West in Hurricane, according to the Hurricane Police Department. He told police that the woman, who he "was familiar with," demanded drugs and money after kicking his door in.
"It was reported that the female suspect who was arrested leaving the scene, Sarah-Melissa K. Strem, unlawfully entered the residence and demanded items from the victim while in possession of a BB handgun," a statement from the police department reads. "The suspect took the victim's wallet, phone and other electronic equipment."

The man left his home to contact police after the woman departed, according to police. They said investigators arrived to find Strem leaving the premises in a vehicle driven by Taylor M. Morrison. Stolen items were located inside the vehicle and both women were arrested, according to police.
Strem was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, criminal mischief and possession of drugs and paraphernalia, in addition to other potential charges. Morrison was arrested on suspicion of second-degree felony conspiracy, receiving stolen property and possession of paraphernalia.
In June, Strem and Morrison were both arrested in connection to the investigation of the shooting of a 21-year-old man in St. George. Police said they believe Strem helped the alleged shooter evade police, while Morrison was arrested on suspicion of felony obstruction of justice.
