WASATCH COUNTY — A man died after he crashed his motorcycle on State road 189 in Wasatch County Sunday afternoon.

According to Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Evan Kirby, authorities responded when they learned of a crash that occurred at approximately 1 p.m. near Heber City.

The man, 69-year-old Aurthur B. Lafeber, lost control for an unknown reason while traveling northbound on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and veered into the center guardrail.

Lafeber was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.

Lafeber was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Kirby said that UHP does not suspect speed or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
