BRIGHAM CITY — Police are calling the Baron Woolen Mills fire that occurred July 20 suspicious.
Brigham City police Lt. Dennis Vincent said they mainly consider it suspicious because there were no services, such as power, at the building at the time of the fire, so there was no source.
Brigham City police are investigating the case and working with the fire department but currently do not have any leads.
The fire at the vacated building was reported around 2 a.m. Residents of nearby homes were evacuated, and the fire caused an estimated $3,000 to $5,000 in damage to an apartment complex.
This is the second fire the building has seen in just over a year. A 17-year-old boy said he accidentally started the first.
