WEST VALLEY CITY — A woman jogging late at night was allegedly robbed by a gunman wearing a ski mask Tuesday.

Just after 11:30 p.m., a woman was jogging near 3514 S. 6000 West when she was approached by a man wearing an orange ski mask and a "puffy" black coat, said West Valley police spokesman Roxeanne Vainuku.

The man displayed a handgun and demanded money, she said. When the jogger told him she only had her cellphone, the man allegedly took that and ran off, Vainuku said.

The only other description of the alleged burglar released by police is that he was approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall.

Anyone with information can call police at 801-840-4000.
