HYRUM, Cache County — A Wells Fargo bank is offering a $5,000 reward for anyone who gives information that leads to the identity and conviction of a man who robbed the bank.

The robbery occurred July 28 around 5:50 p.m. at the Wells Fargo bank at 10 W. Main St., according to Cache County Sheriff's Office. A man walked into the bank and demanded money. He said he had an explosive device and witnesses said he held a small object in his hand.

The robber eventually fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The bank and several nearby businesses were evacuated while deputies searched for the device.

The man was caught on video surveillance wearing a long-sleeve shirt, cargo shorts, a wide-brimmed hat and glasses. He is described as a 5-foot-5-inch tall white male with long brown hair and a handlebar-style mustache.

The incident is being investigated with help from the FBI's Salt Lake City office. Anyone with information about the robbery can contact the Cache County Sheriff's Office at 435-755-1032.
