LAYTON — A rollover accident on Legacy Parkway critically injured a man Friday morning.

Layton resident Brett Turek, 18, was southbound at about Parrish Lane when his pickup drifted off the road around 7:25 a.m., according to UHP Lt. Michael McKay.

Turek corrected back onto the road, but the pickup left the highway a second time and rolled into the northbound lanes.

Turek, who was the only person in his vehicle, was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition, McKay said.

He added that Turek was wearing a seat belt. UHP is still looking into what caused the pickup to drift off the road. Investigators do not suspect drugs or alcohol at this point.
