Are you getting bored of the same old trails? Need to spice up your riding and have more fun? Try the following four things to improve your ATV riding experience.

Let The Camera Roll

Film yourself. Not only is it fun to see yourself later on, but you can play back your footage to observe your skill level.

To start filming, get a GoPro or other POV camera, mount it to your helmet or handlebars, turn it on, and get ready to rip.

If you want to mix it up with different filming angles, you can try using different mounts like a suction cup mount or chest mount. After a long day of shredding and filming, you can sit down on the couch, turn on your computer screen, and bask in your ATV riding glory.

Wear The Right Gear

To thoroughly enjoy your riding experience, it's important to wear the right protective gear. Getting hurt can ruin the day and may even make you feel discouraged from riding again. The right protective gear includes a helmet, goggles, gloves, boots, arm and leg protection, and a chest protector if you have one. Once you have the right gear on, you can feel more confident on the trails.

Don't forget that your ATV is your most important piece of gear to maintain. Make sure you routinely check your ATV for any mechanical problems before you hit the trails.

Explore New Territory

There is a large variety of terrain and trails available in Utah for you to explore. Check out places like the Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, the Poison Spider trail in Moab, the Pine Lake trail near Bryce, the Little Sahara sand dunes in Eureka, the Five Mile Pass in Lehi, the Jordan River OHV State Park, or the Sand Hallow State Park in St. George. By mixing rides up, your ATV experience can be more enjoyable and adventurous.

Before you try new trails make sure you always know where they lead. Trying out new trails is fun, but you need to make sure you have an understanding of the terrain level and exactly where the trail starts and ends.

Make Riding A Family Affair

Get your family together and hold competitive or recreational rides. Your spouse and children can share your enthusiasm for ATV riding if you let them. To get them started, go get the appropriate sized ATVs, some protective gear, and then find trails to match their ability levels. And remember, if anyone is under the age of 16 you need to make sure that they get ATV-certified.

Whenever you can, arrange night or weekend rides together. Before you know it, you'll have your whole family zipping around your favorite ATV trails with you.
