SALT LAKE CITY — Each Wednesday the Best Friend's Animals Society comes to KSL-TV's studios to feature a pet that needs a forever home.

Roxy is an 8-year-old terrier mix who is currently living in a foster home, according Temma Martin from the Best Friend's Animal Society. This super soft, sweet pup is good with children, cats and other dogs.

"She is an ideal easy, adorable pet. I have no idea why she hasn't been adopted yet," Martin said. "She's adorable."

The lap-sized dog also does well on a leash, she's house trained and she's as mellow as can be.

If you are interested in a pet featured on Pet of the Week, you can call the Best Friends Animal society at 801-574-2454. Animals featured on the show remain at the Sugarhouse pet adoption center, located at 2005 S. 1100 East, at least throughout the day they are featured and often beyond. Call ahead before visiting to ensure the animal is still available for adoption.

The Best Friend's Animal Society works with 52 shelters around the state to help facilitate adoptions. All animals featured are spayed or neutered, have a microchip and are vaccinated. Adoption fees vary. To see more animals available for adoption or to the the adoption center's monthly specials, visit their website at utah.bestfriends.org.
