Stolen car found in Jordan River after reports of speeding vehicle

SALT LAKE CITY — A car that was reported stolen a few days earlier was found in the Jordan River early Friday.

About 4:15 a.m., police received several calls of a car speeding near 1135 W. 300 South. Another caller later told emergency dispatchers that there was a car in the Jordan River, according to Salt Lake police.

Officers and Salt Lake firefighters determined that no one was inside the white four-door sedan. The investigation into the stolen car continued Friday.
