FARMINGTON — A man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in a crosswalk in Farmington Friday night, police said.
Friday evening in the area of 150 South and 200 West near Farmington Jr. High in Farmington, a man, 63, was crossing through a busy pedestrian crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound, according to Sgt. Bryant Ives of Farmington Police Department. The man had serious head and extremity injuries, and was flown via helicopter to the University of Utah Hospital in critical condition, Ives said.
A female driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, and was cooperating fully with investigators, according to Ives. Police did not believe alcohol or drugs were involved in the incident, which remains under investigation.
The names of the parties involved have not yet been released.
