SALT LAKE CITY — Investigators are asking for help Tuesday to identify two men who burglarized a store at the Gateway Mall.
A security camera captured footage of two men breaking into the Buckle store, at 130 S. Rio Grande on the first floor of the Gateway Mall on May 28, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.
The video, which was released Tuesday, shows the two men walking through a broken glass door and grabbing merchandise.
Police said they believe this isn’t the only time the men have burglarized a Buckle chain. Another Buckle store, which specializes in selling designer jeans, was burglarized around the same timeframe in South Jordan.
Investigators said the men may have used a brown jeep, which is pictured in the surveillance video, as a getaway car after the Gateway Mall theft. The men’s faces were covered during the burglary.
Anyone with information about the identity or location of the two men can contact the Salt Lake City Police Department by calling 801-799-3000 or texting 274637 with the keyword TIPSLCPD followed by any relevant information. The case reference is No. 15-93527.
