HOWELL, Box Elder County — Police have released the name of the teenage boy who died after his ATV rolled in rural northern Utah on Saturday.

Dakota Clark, 17, died at the scene after the ATV he was riding rolled at a ranch between Snowville and Howell, police said.

The boy's cousin, a 16-year-old boy, broke two arms in the crash and was airlifted to Ogden Regional Medical Center. Dale Ward, Box Elder County Sheriff's deputy chief, said Thursday he expects the boy to survive.

The teens were looking for cattle about 9 a.m. Saturday when they "encountered a washout in the sagebrush and grass," the county sheriff's office said in a prepared statement. They were travelling about 20 mph, and both boys were ejected.
