TOQUERVILLE — A Cedar City man died Friday afternoon after the pickup truck his son was driving rolled on northbound I-15.
The two were about 16 miles north of St. George when the Chevrolet K2500 they were in drifted from the roadway and rolled twice after over-correcting, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
Joseph Ryan Henrie, 43, died at the scene.
Henrie's teenage son, who was driving, was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Father and son were both wearing seat belts, according to UHP. Investigators believe fatigued driving may have caused the crash.
Northbound I-15 in the area was briefly closed, causing severe delays through early Friday evening, the Utah Department of Transportation reported. The accident scene was moved to the shoulder just after 5:30 p.m.
