SALT LAKE CITY — Police say 20 to 30 shots were fired at two Salt Lake homes early Thursday, but remarkably no one was injured.
Multiple 911 calls came in just before 3 a.m. reporting that shots had been fired.
Witnesses told police that two Polynesian men stood in the street in the Jordan Meadows neighborhood and opened fire on the home near 900 N. Star Crest Drive, then fled in a gray or light brown vehicle. A woman and a child who were in the house at the time were unharmed.
The home just to the north of the house was also hit, according to police.
Police recovered between 20 and 30 spent shell casings from the road in front of the house. Bullets broke through windows and pierced the siding of the home, including around the door.
Police investigating the shooting say it appears to be gang-related.
