Police ID man who died from Cedar City rock climbing fall

CEDAR CITY — The 19-year-old man who died while rock climbing with friends in Cedar City was identified by police Wednesday.

Thomas Harley Rueben Christensen fell between 20 and 30 feet from a mountainside near Route 14 at about 5 p.m. Monday, according to the Cedar City Police Department. He reportedly died on scene from injuries sustained during the fall.

Investigators said the area is popular for rock climbers.
