MOAB — Rowdy, one of the missing hunting dogs that vanished from the La Sal Mountains over Memorial Day weekend, has been found.
Aaron Carter, the owner of the dogs, said a man contacted him Thursday and returned Rowdy after seeing news coverage on the search for the dogs.
Bounce, the other missing dog, has not been found yet.
Carter said he was bear hunting Saturday afternoon in the Hell Canyon area with a group of nine dogs, when Rowdy and Bounce disappeared.
Carter is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever took the dogs.
Anyone with information about the case should call the San Juan County Sheriff’s Office at 435-587-2237.
