PRICE — Two people are expected to face felony charges following an armed confrontation at a Carbon County home, according to police.

Dusty Lambert and Joanne Ford held two Vernal women at gunpoint during an April 9 incident at a home in Carbonville, the Price Police Department said in a statement issued Wednesday.

Confidential informants told Carbon Metro Drug Task Force agents that Lambert and Ford were trying to force the women to pay them for an undisclosed amount of stolen methamphetamine, police said.

When the women refused, Ford allegedly wrote a bill of sale for a green Volvo S80 owned by one of the women. Lambert then forced the woman — at gunpoint — to sign the document, investigators said.

Lambert and Ford took the Volvo to Ogden and sold it, according to investigators. The car has not been recovered.

Ford, 50, was arrested April 28 and booked into the Carbon County Jail for investigation of theft of a motor vehicle and vehicle burglary.

Lambert, 40, was arrested the next day by Lehi police and booked into the Utah County Jail. Officers said they found a loaded .40-caliber handgun, a ballistic vest and several ounces of meth in Lambert's car.

As a convicted felon, Lambert is restricted from possessing a firearm. Court records show officers had received reports that Lambert was threatening to "shoot it out" with police or "force law enforcement to shoot him." He was arrested without incident.

On May 5, Utah County prosecutors charged Lambert with three felonies and three misdemeanors in connection with his arrest in Lehi. He is expected to be transferred soon from the Utah County Jail to the Carbon County Jail, where he will be booked for investigation of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated robbery and possession of drugs with intent to distribute, according to Price police.
