SANDY — A female hiker was airlifted from Bell Canyon after falling 25 feet from a waterfall Sunday.
Friends were able to free her from rocks below after she became temporarily trapped and remained in water for about 15 minutes.
“It’s important that people remember they got to be careful when they're up here. The rocks get very slippery when water is running across it. They just need to use caution,” Lt. Justin Hoyal of Unified Police said.
The woman, who was not identified, was treated at the scene for a leg injury and mild hypothermia and airlifted from the scene to a hospital.
