WEST JORDAN — Police were searching for the driver of a stolen truck who they said triggered a multiple-vehicle crash on Bangerter Highway Wednesday morning.
As many as six vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction crash at Bangerter and 9000 South. West Jordan police said the stolen truck slammed into another vehicle in the intersection. The truck's driver then fled on foot.
A couple of minor injuries were reported but no one was seriously hurt.
Bangerter was closed eastbound and westbound. Northbound was closed at 9800 South. The roads reopened around 7 a.m.
Police said the truck was stolen out of Riverton overnight and the owner didn't know it was missing.
