KEARNS — Police are looking for two suspects who they say shot a 29-year-old man early Thursday morning in Kearns.

The victim was walking up his driveway near 4400 West 5900 South when two people yelled at him from across the street and opened fire on him, according to Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal. He was shot in the lower body just before 2 a.m.

The two suspects fled on foot and police are still looking for them, Hoyal said.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in fair condition. Hoyal said the victim was targeted, but the motive is still unknown.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
