FARMINGTON — Lagoon will open its 2015 season Saturday at 10 a.m., weather and other factors permitting.
The amusement park will be open on weekends until June 7. It’ll then be open daily for the summer season June 8 to Aug. 23, according to a news release.
A new roller coaster revealed last fall will make its debut this season. “Cannibal,” the 208-foot-tall coaster, recently underwent its “first test run.” A video showing the test run is available on YouTube.
Frightmares will celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, running from Sept. 19 to Oct. 30. During Frightmares, Lagoon “transforms into a freaky Halloween-themed park with haunted walkthroughs and unique entertainment,” according to the release.
Lagoon has been open since 1886 and houses more than 50 rides, Lagoon-A-Beach water park, Pioneer Village, games, food, gifts and live entertainment. For more information, visit its website.
