RIVERSIDE, Calif. (WYFF) — Two years ago, a family cat named Kevin went missing from his South Carolina home. Just a few weeks ago, during a routine trailer inspection in California, Kevin was found in a trailer.
The cat was taken to an animal shelter where staff members were able to use his microchip to track down his South Carolina owner.
"It's amazing because he's definitely changed. He has definitely changed," Kevin's owner, Cheryl Walls, told WYFF in South Carolina.
Moved by the story, two California non-profits paid for Kevin's flight back home.
"It's amazing because he's definitely changed. He has definitely changed," Walls said.
