SALT LAKE CITY — With the recent death of former Salt Lake City Mayor Deedee Corradini and former House Speaker Becky Lockhart, some look to the future of female leaders in the state.

KSL-TV sat down with four influential women in a roundtable discussion to talk about the importance of women in leadership: associate professor and founder of the Utah Women and Leadership Project Susan Madsen; former House Representative Holly Richardson; former senator and Women's Leadership Institute CEO Patricia Jones; and local attorney and former city Councilwoman Lisa Baskin.

These women are involved in various projects, such as Real Women Run, Women's Leadership Institute and Utah Women and Leadership Project.

For those interested in attending the event at Utah Valley University with speaker Sheri Dew titled, "You Were Born to Lead," Madsen said there are still spots available.

Visit the Utah Women and Leadership Project to register for the event.
