PROVO — Investigators worked to find the cause of a fire that forced three families out of their apartments and sent one man to the hospital in Provo.
The fire broke out near 800 West and 300 South around 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to Chief Gary Jolley of the Provo Fire Department.
He said when crews arrived, flames were shooting from the windows of an apartment on the upper level. Crews evacuated the building and doused the flames.
The man taken to a hospital suffered minor injuries.
Fire heavily damaged one apartment unit. Two others received smoke and water damage.
The incident left seven people out of their homes.
