WEST VALLEY CITY — Police were searching Monday for a car and the people involved in a drive-by shooting that injured one teenager. According to police, the 18-year-old was walking home around 9 p.m. Sunday when a black Mustang pulled up alongside him near 3100 South and 3200 West.
The teen claims five men inside the car, who were wearing bandannas, flashed gang signs then shot at him, according to police.
He was hit in the leg.
Police said the teen's mother took him to a hospital, and hospital personnel called police.
No detailed description of the gunmen was available.
