There are few things as predictable as a busy gym in January. With the holiday months and meals behind us, many use the clean slate of a new year and the goal of resolution to hit the gym.

Both men and women will be slimming down and pumping iron in 2015, but that doesn't mean we'll be having the same experience at the gym.

Working out can bring some awkward experiences and thoughts for women. If we could hear a woman's thoughts, what appears to be an ordinary workout may actually sound something like this:

"Is this really worth it? It's not too late to change my resolution to read more books, is it?"

"Why is this so hard? Ugh. I don't remember it being this hard."

"I wish I were naturally skinny like my sister. I swear she doesn't even know the words 'diet' or 'calorie.'"

"I shouldn’t have eaten that burrito. I really shouldn't have eaten that burrito. I really, really shouldn't have eaten that burrito."

"I’m going to start eating better so this is easier. On the way home I'm picking up some hummus and lettuce and some apples."

"Oh, great. Now this creeper is looking me. Gross. At least I'm wearing my least see-through yoga pants."

"I must look like an idiot doing this. I'm pretty sure this is how you use this machine. I'll just keep going and hope this is how this is supposed to work."

"I wonder if that girl knows that I have no idea what I’m doing. It must be so obvious."

"How short of a time can I be here without it being weird? It's not like they keep track of that information, do they? I came in about the same time as that guy did, so as long as he doesn't see me leaving I'm good."

"OK, this is getting easier, finally. I should've started listening to music sooner. I'm feeling this now."

"Oh man, I smell bad. Like, nasty bad. Please no one come near me until I've had a couple showers."

"Does that girl actually have her hair down? Who wears their hair down to the gym? Girl, it defies all logic to wear your hair like that. Get that stuff out of your face."

"I’ve been running for so long on this stupid treadmill! I wonder how long the person next to me has been here."

"I probably burned enough calories to eat another burrito. Another sweet, sweet burrito."

"Wow! And Mr. Attractive just walked in! Uh, pal! I'm over here."
