MILLCREEK — A 61-year-old man involved in a crash on Wasatch Boulevard died more than a week after the accident occurred.

Unified police announced Sunday that Steve Horton, 61, of Salt Lake City, had passed away. Horton was driving a passenger vehicle on Jan. 2 on Wasatch Boulevard near 4200 South when for an unknown reason, an F-150 pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic and hit him head-on.

Horton had been in critical condition since the crash. What caused the truck to cross into oncoming traffic was still being investigated Sunday, said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal.

The adult male driver of the pickup suffered injuries that were not life threatening.
