PROVO — The animation program at Brigham Young University is known for winning an impressive amount of awards, but until now viewing the shorts off-campus or outside of a film festival has been a tricky feat.
Animation fans are now in luck — the department published 13 of its shorts online for easy viewing. Among the enjoyable collection is “Owned,” which won both the College Television Awards and Student Academy Awards in 2014.
Other student-created BYU classics include “Pajama Gladiator,” “Lemmings” and “Chasm.” The animation program has brought home 16 student Emmys in 11 years.
All of the shorts can be viewed on the BYU Center for Animation website. Let us know what your favorite short is in the comment section.
