SANDY — A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed multiple times during a fight at a Sandy home on New Year's Eve, police say.
Around 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, a man reportedly got in a fight involving several people inside a home located at 8898 S. 280 East, the Sandy Police Department said in a news release. The man was stabbed multiple times and was sent to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.
Everyone involved in the fight fled the home after the stabbing occurred, police said. The motive for the fight may be drug-related, but police are still investigating the incident.
The victim is in stable condition, police reported.
