LOGAN — New Oregon State head coach Gary Andersen isn't done assembling a roster with Utah ties just yet.

The former Utah assistant and Utah State head coach announced Sunday night that current Utah State offensive coordinator Kevin McGiven has been named quarterbacks coach in Corvalis, Oregon, and Colorado State's Dave Baldwin will be the team's new offensive coordinator.

“Dave and Kevin bring experience and continuity to our staff and offense,” Andersen said in a statement. “I know what to expect from these two as coaches and what to expect from our offense. They absolutely fit our program and Oregon State University, and this is another great step for our future.”

Baldwin also worked with Andersen at Utah State. The new Beavers coach also officially added former Utah defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake to his staff as assistant head coach, along with former Utah defensive line coach Ilaisi Tuiaki as linebackers coach and Chad Kauha'aha'a over the defensive line.

McGiven spent the past two seasons as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in Logan, where he most recently led the Aggies a 21-6 win over UTEP in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl. Andersen's former assistant head coach for two seasons was recently named FootballScoop's Quarterbacks Coach of the Year in a season that saw him work with quarterbacks Chuckie Keeton, Darell Garretson, Craig Harrison and true freshman Kent Myers as starters for at least one game. Wide receiver Ronald Butler also saw snaps at quarterback for the injury-plagued Aggies.

McGiven graduated from Utah Valley in 2001 and earned a master's degree from BYU in 2005. He has also coached at Montana State, Memphis, Weber State, Southern Utah, BYU, Louisiana Tech and Mountain View High School in Orem.

Baldwin was named Western Athletic Conference offensive coordinator of the year in 2011 during his time at Utah State. The 1978 graduate of Cal State Northridge has been at Colorado State for three seasons, and he was named the interim coach for the 2014 Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl after coach Jim McElwain went to Florida.
