SOUTH SALT LAKE — The woman killed in a Monday evening crash was identified as a Salt Lake City resident by police Wednesday.

Lorraine Rodriguez, 57, was killed around 6 p.m. Monday when she crossed 3300 South at 900 West against the light.

Rodriguez, who police said was wearing dark clothing, was struck by an eastbound Nissan Altima just after she stepped into the street. She hit the windshield of the car and was carried for some ways before the car stopped.

She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police continue to investigate the crash to determine if a second car struck Rodriguez. The driver of the Altima was not cited.
