DISNEY WORLD — Utah’s 12-year-old YouTube sensation, Lexi Walker, will be performing her popular rendition of the “Frozen” song, “Let it Go,” during Disney’s annual Christmas Parade Thursday.
The parade will air on ABC at 9 a.m. MST, and Lexi will perform at the end of the program.
“I’m so excited,” Lexi told KSL.com in an email. “I totally love Disney, so I feel very grateful to be a part of it.”
Lexi performed the song with One Voice Choir and Alex Boye at the Midway ice castles earlier this year.
Disney Parks Frozen Christmas Celebration will focus on bringing family together, a major theme found in “Frozen,” according to Orlando Attractions Magazine.
During the program, Disney will bring together three groups of family and friends who have been separated during the holidays, Orlando Attractions Magazine reported. The reunions will take place at three Disney locations: Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Aulani, a Disney resort and spa in Hawaii.
Bringing families together is always important, especially on Christmas morning, Lexi said.
“I feel so lucky that I get to sing a song that I really love and that a lot of people know,” Lexi said. “As 'Elf' said, ‘the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.’ ”
Many musical artists will also be featured on the show, including Trey Songz, Lucy Hale, Train, Trisha Yearwood, Laura Marano, Gavin DeGraw, Prince Royce and Ariana Grande.
