LAYTON — A man was arrested Monday after two young girls disclosed he had abused them on several occasions, police said.
A family member contacted police after the two girls, who are 8 and 9 years old, told them 39-year-old Oswaldo Martinez recently abused them multiple times in Layton and at another location outside of the city, according to Layton police Lt. Travis Lyman. He said Oswaldo is a relative of the girls.
Layton police investigated the incidents that occurred in its city and arrested Oswaldo Monday after interviewing him. He was booked into the Davis County Jail on suspicion of four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and two counts of sodomy upon a child. His bond is listed as $200,000.
The other city where the girls were abused is still continuing its investigation, according to Lyman.
