TAYLORSVILLE — Unified police have issued an endangered missing person alert for a 17-year-old girl with a diminished mental capacity.

Olivia Graham was last seen leaving her house on Nov. 24. Graham, "who suffers from several mental disabilities and functions at a 12-year-old level," according to police, was scheduled to take a bus to a treatment center but never arrived.

Instead, Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said detectives believe Graham returned to her house when her parents weren't home, collected money and two backpacks full of undisclosed items, and left.

Because she is not believed to have taken her medication for a week, and because "she can become violent and can put her and others in danger" due to her mental condition, according to Hoyal, the endangered missing person alert was issued.

Graham is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown shoulder-length hair and brown eyes. Police believe she may be wearing a black coat, black pants and carrying one blue and one black backpack

Hoyal said Graham does not have a cellphone or credit cards.

She is known to frequent TRAX stations in the area of 2100 South, the Valley Fair Mall and the Salt Lake Main Library, he said.

Graham has a history of running away, according to police. In 2012, Unified police issued a news release for a similar incident. In 2012, police told the media that due to her medical condition and not taking her medication for more than 24 hours, Graham could become violent. She was located and returned home about 36 hours later.

Anyone with information can call police at 801-743-7000.
