SALT LAKE CITY — Alfre Woodard has four Emmys, three Screen Actor Guild Awards, one Golden Globe and has been nominated for an Academy Award and a Grammy. Needless to say, critics and industry experts consider her one of America's most versatile actors.
Her latest role, Constance Payton, makes her the most powerful person in the world, as president of the United States in NBC's "State of Affairs."
"The agents and managers said, ‘Well, you know they're doing this show called "State of Affairs." It revolves around a CIA analyst and they would like you to play the president.' And I said, 'I'm in!'" Woodard said.
