ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. — Authorities have released the name of a 4-year-old girl who died Saturday after the Jeep she was sitting in rolled into Flaming Gorge Reservoir.

Natalie Grace Gibson, of Rock Springs, was at the reservoir with a group that included her mother, Keriane Mosher, 27-year-old Jeff Harrison and a 16-year-old girl, according to Sweetwater County sheriff's detective Dick Blust Jr. The group was fishing from the bank, Blust said.

Witnesses told deputies the Jeep was parked back from the shoreline and rolled into the water, where it submerged completely, Blust said.

Harrison tried to stop the Jeep, witnesses said. He was hurt in the process, Blust said, though the nature and severity of Harrison's injuries were not disclosed.

The group walked until they could get a cell signal to call for help. Mosher, Harrison and the teenage girl, whose name is not being released, were examined at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Blust said.

The Green River Fire Department, the U.S. Forest Service, a helicopter from the University of Utah Medical Center, and the Sweetwater Dive Team assisted in the recovery of Natalie's body. The Jeep was found on its top under about 15 feet of water, Blust said.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday. Investigators with the sheriff's office and the county coroner's office continue to work the case, Blust said.

A fund has been established to help Natalie's family pay for funeral expenses*.
