MILLCREEK — A man dressed as a woman robbed a second bank earlier this month, police say.

On Thursday, Nov. 6, a man wearing a wig, makeup including lipstick, women’s jeans and carrying a purse approached a teller at the Chase Bank inside Smith’s at 3215 S. Valley St., police said. The man brandished a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money, and the teller complied. He fled the scene on foot and no vehicle was seen.

The robber’s unique appearance drew attention Saturday, Oct. 25 when he robbed a bank inside another grocery store, Fresh Market, at 2040 S. 2300 East. He displayed a handgun while demanding money during that case as well, according to police.

Police describe the man as a white male in his mid-20s, weighing about 135 pounds and about 5-foot, 8-inches tall. In addition to the wig, makeup, jeans and purse, the man was also wearing a white beanie, black and white gloves and a dark-colored coat.

Anyone with information about the robberies or suspect is asked to call Unified Police Department at 385-468-9814.
