SALT LAKE CITY — A police chase ended after an unusual turn into a popular downtown Salt Lake City hotel.
The chase went from 600 South up to the ninth floor of the Red Lion Hotel at 161 W. 600 South.
Just before 4 a.m. an officer spotted a stolen vehicle and tried to pull it over.
The driver of the vehicle pulled into a nearby parking lot trying to hide, police said. When police spotted it, the passenger jumped out and ran into the Red Lion Hotel.
Eventually police caught up with the passenger on the ninth floor. That man and the driver, who police say is his brother, were arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Their names were not immediately released.
