SANDY — Four Canyons School District schools celebrated impressive gains in reading scores with a community carnival at the South Towne Expo Center.
The schools take part in KSL's Read Today AmeriCorps program, and they share the same secret weapons in their battle to help struggling readers catch up. Among them, they use nearly 200 volunteer tutors who last year donated 6,100 hours.
Check out the community celebration on the videos and see how one of the schools, Midvalley Elementary, made such a turnaround.
