SUGAR HOUSE — A man was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle in the Sugar House neighborhood Tuesday morning.
The man was crossing a road at 1240 E. and 2100 South around 7:30 when he was hit by a car, according to Salt Lake police detective Veronica Montoya.
It was dark and the man was not in a crosswalk area, Montoya said.
The man was critically injured and taken to an area hospital.
Police shut down 2100 South between 1100 and 1300 East.
