SALT LAKE CITY — Former University of Utah All-American Luther Ellis was one of four athletes enshrined in the Utah Sports Hall of Fame as part of the organization's class of 2014 Tuesday at the Little America Hotel.

The list also included three-time Champions Tour winner Bruce Summerhays, and Olympians Noelle Pikus-Pace and Logan Tom, each of whom now take their rightful places as some of the greatest athletes the state has ever produced.

Elliss played for the Utes from 1991-94 under former coach Ron McBride. The 1995 first-round NFL draft pick was Utah's first selection in 24 years, and he played eight seasons for the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos that included two Pro Bowl appearances.

Summerhays made the Champions Senior Tour in 1995 after a career as a club professional. He earned more than $9 million on tour and won three tournament titles, including the Utah Open in 2008.

Pikus-Pace earned the silver medal in the women's skeleton at the Sochi Olympics in 2014. The former Utah Valley University track and field athlete also finished fourth in 2010, and became a memorable face of the LDS Church during her run that included several emphatic moments where she promoted values heavily espoused by her faith.

Tom was an outside hitter who made four Olympic volleyball teams, including helping the Americans to silver in 2008 in Beijing and 2012 in London. She was the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 1999 as a senior at Highland High School, becoming Utah's first-ever winner of the award in any sport.
