PROVO — A Bountiful man involved in an incident while wake boarding on Utah Lake Saturday has died, officials said.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center confirms that 40-year old Stanley James Davis II was admitted Saturday and died Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were sent to Pelican Bay Marina in Saratoga Springs to aid in a reported possible drowning.

Utah County sheriff's deputy Dennis Harris said emergency workers soon learned the 40-year old suffered some sort of heart problem, causing him to fall off his wake board and into Utah Lake.

The man wasn't in the water more than a minute, Harris said. After friends pulled him out, he was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in a Life Flight helicopter.
